Variety Israel is a non profit society, acting for the welfare of children up to the age of 18 years with special needs (blindness, deafness, Down's Syndrome, autism, Cerebral Palsy, etc.), whose disability is not recognized or handled by any of the designated organizations and who are therefore unable to receive any assistance. In addition, “Variety” Israel supplements the support and treatment given to children who are taken care of by other institutes and organizations.

Children and youth with special needs, with no religion or racial discrimination whatsoever, have enjoyed our financial support in a variety of fields for 39 years:

Wheelchairs, inserts, motorized wheelchairs, bath hammocks, toilet seats, mobile bathing facilities, orthopedic shoes, telescopic glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids and ancillary equipment, corsets, braces, standing aids and crutches, vehicle elevators, mobile electric suction, insulin pumps, audio output appliances.

For Your Attention:
We do not provide any type of economic assistance to families nor loans, scholarships, retroactive payments, road accident injuries, medication, renovations, acquisition of furniture for apartments and vehicles, non-conventional paramedical treatments.

The application can be made by: social workers, the child's family or any referring organization.
The application (including accompanying documents) should be mailed in two copies, and should include the following:

1.	Letter of Application
	Including details of the parents' occupations, details of the child’s disease, date of birth, the request and its cost, updated address and telephone numbers (including mobile phone no., if any).
2.	edical certificates concerning the children’s disease.
3.	Certificates of Income
	a. Regular financial support – official documents from the previous three months, regarding financial support from the National Insurance Institute: the child and/or parent's disability allowance (including disability degree), the child and/or the parent's mobility allowance, children's allowance, minimum income allowance etc. b. Income from salaries – all certificates of income for the last three months: those who are self-employed are requested to furnish their recent tax assessment from the Income Tax Authority.
4.	Price Estimates
	Estimates given by equipment or service suppliers should be submitted on a letterhead (in a case of a request for treatments, the estimate should include the number of treatments necessary per month and the cost thereof).
5.	Participation of Additional Organizations
	a. Participation of the Ministry of Health – requests for rehabilitation equipment. b. Participation of other societies – such as Ilan, the Cancer Society, the Society for the Blind etc. ג. Participation of additional foundations, participation of the Municipal Welfare Department, etc.
6.	Participation of the sick fund / supplementary insurance.
7.	Photocopy of the child's identity card (including the slip).
8.	Photograph of the child.
	After receiving all the documents, a house call is coordinated in advance, after which the application is discussed by the committee and its decision is conveyed in writing to the applicant.
